Exclusive Scott Pilgrim vs. the World Video Interviews!

August 10, 2010

Edgar Wright and the cast of the big screen adaptation

In what may be a junket interview record, ComingSoon.net spoke exclusively with no less than 11 of the incredible cast members behind this week's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Based on the manga-style series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, writer/director Edgar Wright brings Scott Pilgrim's surrealistic Toronto world to life. Combining hip melodrama with video game pop nostalgia, Michael Cera stars as Pilgrim himself, a young slacker who, after dreaming about and meeting (in that order) American Ramona Flowers (Mary Elisabeth Winstead) finds that he now has to defeat her seven evil exes.

ComingSoon.net spoke with Wright, Cera and Winstead as well as Scott's friends and foes in the form of actors Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Ellen Wong (Knives Chau) and evil ex actors Satya Bhabha (#1, Matthew Patel), Brandon Routh (#3, Todd Ingram), and Jason Schwartzman (#7, Gideon Graves).

Yeah the sound really needs a bit of work, but the entire interview set was great!

Pop sound for the logo overlay is extremely annoying. Perhaps only do it the first time, but don't keep the sound in the rest of the interview.

No Thanks Emo P...have you ever read Scott Pilgrim? My guess is no. If you had you would know that while some aspects of Scott are similar to Cera's previous roles, Scott is completely different in every way.

By emo, I don't think he means "emotional". I think he just means whiny love comix for teenage girls.

Haha, whiny. The use of that word describing anything other than the people who come on here and flame every piece of news that comes out also makes me chuckle.
