Gotham Knights Gets a New Motion Poster Ahead of DC FanDome

Next month, Gotham Knights will be one of several upcoming DC titles previewed during DC FanDome. Before the festivities get underway, the game’s official Twitter page has released a new motion poster showcasing all four playable members of the Bat Family. Check it out for yourself below.

The poster features Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood literally standing in Batman’s shadow. As last summer’s trailer revealed, the game opens with the Dark Knight’s apparent death. But in a pre-recorded video message, he leaves Gotham in the hands of his four young protégés. Unfortunately, Batman’s demise couldn’t have come at a worse time, as the Court of Owls are devising a plan to bring the city to its knees.

WB Games Montréal is developing Gotham Knights after previously visiting the DC Universe with Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013. The game was announced during last year’s FanDome event and was originally supposed to hit shelves sometime this year. But back in March, the studio delayed its release to 2022 in order to “deliver the best possible experience for players.” And since Arkham Origins was plagued by various bugs and corrupted save files, it’s probably better to give them all the extra time they need.

Gotham Knights will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Microsoft Windows.
