New Marvel’s Avengers Trailer Debuts Ms. Marvel as a Playable Hero

Next year, Square Enix will give Marvel’s Avengers a new video game experience for the current gen systems. The early trailers for the game related that the team will be framed for a tragedy and torn apart. But at New York Comic Con, Square Enix revealed the hero who may bring the Avengers back together: Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel.

The new “Kamala Khan Embiggen” trailer establishes the future Ms. Marvel as an Inhuman and on the run from AIM. She’s also discovered that AIM’s anti-Inhuman propaganda is a lie. More importantly, she’s got proof that the Avengers were set up. Additionally, Kamala bonds with Bruce Banner, who seems very similar to his MCU counterpart. However, Bruce definitely seems to be a bit fed up with Kamala when she keeps slurping on her soda.

There is also some gameplay footage that shows off Kamala’s size changing abilities. She’s technically a shape shifter, but she prefers to fight by extending her limbs. Kamala also favors her giant fists over anything else, but this move set is only the tip of the iceberg for what she can do. And if this trailer is any indication, she’s going to be one of the primary playable heroes.

Marvel’s Avengers will hit PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020.
