Marvel Games Panel Brings Avengers and Ultimate Alliance 3 To Comic-Con

Both Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers and Nintendo’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order stole the spotlight during E3 last month. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that they’re ready to do so again in just a few weeks at San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel announced on Twitter that it’s bringing its Marvel Games panel back to the big event with both games in tow

The panel will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 1:30 PM in Hall H. Hosted by Kinda Funny Games’ Greg Miller, it will feature Bill Rosemann, the vice president and creative director for Marvel Games. It will also have other “special guests” from the Marvel Games family. The primary focus will be on Marvel’s Avengers, and new footage may debut during the showcase.

With Ultimate Alliance 3 on deck, the panel will possibly be the first place to see downloadable content for the game. It was initially announced last month that characters from Marvel Knights, Fantastic Four and X-Men will be added to the game. Nintendo will release the game will arrive at retail and on the Nintendo eShop on July 19.

Other games will also be featured, including the previously announced Iron Man VR; which hits later this year for PlayStation VR and other headsets. Additionally, updates will also provided for Marvel’s mobile games, including Marvel Contest of Champions.

Square Enix will have a Marvel’s Avengers presentation at booth #3829. Nintendo will have Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order for fans to try out at booth #235 during its launch weekend. Finally, Iron Man VR will be available to play at Marvel Booth #2329, for those that want to test out Tony Stark’s famous armored Avenger.
