Disney+ has finally announced the release date for its highly anticipated premiere of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. In addition, the streamer has also shared the first teaser trailer for the coming-of-age fantasy series’ return, providing fans with a glimpse of what to expect from the titular hero’s next adventure. It also features the first look at the arrival of Percy’s half-brother Tyson, who is a cyclops.
“After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the Golden Fleece,” reads the Season 2 synopis. “With help from Annabeth, Clarisse and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival is crucial in the fight to stop Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus.”

When is the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 release date?
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is scheduled to make its debut on December 10, exclusively on Disney+. Prior to the Season 2 release, the show has already been granted an early Season 3 renewal. Author Rick Riordan has also announced the Season 3 casting of Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who have been tapped to portray the respective roles of Hades’ children Nico di Angelo and Bianca.
The series is created and executive produced by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg. The cast is led by Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Chiron, and Toby Stephens as Poseidon.

Based on Riordan’s original 2006 novel The Sea of Monsters, Season 2 will introduce new characters portrayed by Daniel Diemer as Percy’s cyclops half-brother Tyson, Andra Day as Athena, Margaret Cho as Wasp, Kristen Schaal as Tempest, Sandra Bernhard as Anger, Timothy Simons as Tantalus, Tamara Smart as Thalia, Rosemarie DeWitt as C.C., Aleks Paunovic as Polyphemus, Beatrice Kitsos as Alison Simms and Kevin Chacon as Chris Rodriguez.
