Moon Knight Season 2 Update Surprises Oscar Isaac MCU Fans

More than three years since its series debut, another Moon Knight Season 2 update has been revealed, teasing the project’s potential storyline. This comes after Moon Knight creator Jeremy Slater recently confirmed that he won’t be involved in the show’s possible next installment, admitting that he hasn’t really talk to anyone at Marvel Studios for a long time.

Moon Knight was based on the Marvel character created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. The series was led by Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant/Marc Spector, who also served as an executive producer. He was joined by Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, F. Murray Abraham as the voice of Khonshu, and May Calamawy as Layla. Since its debut, Season 1 has earned a Certified Fresh rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 249 reviews.

What is the new Moon Knight Season 2 update?

According to a new report, Marvel Studios is still reportedly developing a second season of Moon Knight, as part of its ongoing projects that would potentially connect to its long-rumored Midnight Sons movie. The report claims that Moon Knight Season 2 would once again feature Marc Spector and Steven Grant teaming up to “solve a mystery that would eventually bring them face-to-face with the third personality, Jake Lockley.” The character’s third persona was first teased at the end of Season 1, where it was revealed that Jake Lockley is still under Khonshu’s command.

In a previous interview, Slater said he believes that Moon Knight’s future in the MCU is really up to lead star Oscar Isaac and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

“Talk to Kevin Feige. Talk to Oscar Isaac. I think the ball’s really in their court,” Slater explained. “It’s as much or as little Moon Knight as Oscar wants to do. Kevin’s the guy with the master plan, and I think when he comes up with a way to really incorporate Moon Knight into there . . . It’s my hope that we’re gonna see him again, but I’m as curious as the rest of you guys.”
