Wednesday Season 2’s Pugsley Actor Teases Powers in Netflix Show

Wednesday star Isaac Ordonez teases what viewers can expect from Pugsley Addams in the upcoming Season 2 of Netflix’s supernatural comedy series.

Wednesday quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular shows in 2022, and it has remained at the top of the streaming service’s Global Top 10 ratings for several weeks. The first season reintroduced the Addams Family to audiences with new faces portraying the eccentric, gothic family. This includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday and Ordonez as Wednesday’s younger brother, Pugsley.

However, viewers remember Netflix’s Pugsley as a frail character who only made brief appearances in the series. But that will soon change in the second season.

What did Isaac Ordonez say about Pugsley’s powers in Wednesday Season 2?

In an interview with ScreenRant, the actor revealed that fans will be getting “a lot more Pugsley this season.” The new season will showcase the character in a more complex light, with Wednesday gaining a bit of respect for his brother due to his newfound powers. But in a typical Wednesday behavior, she is set to use Pugsley’s abilities to her advantage.

“I really get to mess around with different sides of his character. In season 1, you see his more emotional side, but in this season, I think we get more of his quirky, devious, mischievous side. But we also keep that emotional side. When he gets to Nevermore, he is very lonely. He’s having a hard time making friends, so we do get to see that. I do play around with that,” said Ordonez.

Ordonez added, “I think that now that he has powers, Wednesday has gained a little more respect for him. But she also sees him now as a tool that she can use for her investigations. And if we’re talking about how they are as siblings, I’d say they’re still your average siblings; they’re awkward. That remains the same, because Wednesday doesn’t change [laughs].”

Wednesday Season 2 will also feature the return of the rest of the Addams family, including Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. Other returning cast members include Emma Myers as Wednesday’s roommate Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin (revealed to be the Hyde during Season 1), Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Ritchie, with Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) and Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) also returning in guest-starring roles.

All eight episodes of Season 1 are available to stream on Netflix.
