Vision Quest Rumor: A Major MCU Character Could Return in Show’s Finale

A major MCU character could be returning at the end of Marvel Television’s Vision Quest show.

Vision Quest is currently the working title of a new show that will focus on Paul Bettany’s Vision character. Vision technically died in Avengers: Infinity War before he was then resurrected in the WandaVision miniseries; that version of Vision, however, fades from existence at the end of the show, while a new, all-white version of the character now subsists in the MCU.

Vision Quest is expected to follow the all-white version of Bettany’s character. Other cast members include James Spader as Ultron, Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Faran Tahir as Raza, and more.

Which MCU character could return at the end of Vision Quest?

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Vision Quest is “currently testing multiple endings, including one featuring Ghost Agatha and Billy, and another involving Wanda.”

This is merely a rumor that should be taken with a grain of salt at this time, as there has been no confirmation from Marvel Studios that Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, Joe Locke’s Billy Maximoff, or Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff will return for any forthcoming projects. Furthermore, there have been many conflicting reports and rumors about whether or not Olsen is returning for Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently in production.

That being said, Vision Quest is directly playing into the events of WandaVision, and, given the history that Vision and Wanda have with one another, it wouldn’t be especially surprising if she did return in some capacity. Agatha All Along was also a WandaVision spin-off, so the inclusion of either Billy or Agatha could also make sense for the show.

Official plot details for Vision Quest remain under wraps at this time, meaning this is all a matter of speculation. The Marvel show does not yet have a premiere date.
