Disney+ Drops New Obi-Wan Kenobi Trailer and Poster For Star Wars Day

Happy Star Wars Day! To kick off this year’s celebration, Disney+ and Lucasfilm have debuted the new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, the upcoming miniseries featuring Ewan McGregor reprising his role from the prequel trilogy. In this previously untold story set between Episodes III and IV, Obi-Wan’s exile is becoming increasingly dangerous. The Empire’s Inquisitors are coming uncomfortably close to finding him, and that may be why he has to temporarily leave Tatooine.

Additionally, the trailer offers a tease for Obi-Wan’s nemesis, Darth Vader. While the Dark Lord of the Sith isn’t seen directly, it does appear that he may have modified armor. Perhaps so the audience can tell that Hayden Christensen is also reprising his role from the prequels.

Disney+ and Lucasfilm also released a new poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi, which you can see below.

The first two episodes of the miniseries will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, May 27, two days after the 45th anniversary of Star Wars itself.
