HBO Max 2022 Preview Reel Includes House of the Dragon and More

HBO Max just dropped a big preview of what’s to come in 2022, and it features a lot of maddeningly quick glimpses at many things. Some, we know about, and have mostly seen the footage before. Peacemaker, for example. But then there’s Westworld, House of the Dragon, Raised by Wolves and even a glimpse at the new animated Gizmo from the Gremlins animated prequel series Secrets of the Mogwai.

It’s a lot to take in. But that’s what the pause button on YouTube is for. Check it out below:

Even though Westworld killed the Man in Black at the end of last season, the show doesn’t look done with him yet. Thank the typical time shifts and multiple body shenanigans inherent to the show. Matt Smith looks icily intense as a Targaryen for House of the Dragon. And the Gremlins animated series appears cel-shaded, rather than more obvious CG. For that, there would seem to be a Scoob! sequel — or possibly special — coming.

HBO also reveals some of their upcoming movie choices, and it seem Fox/Disney’s Free Guy will hit there first before Disney+, just as F9: The Fast Saga will arrive before Peacock. Thank the contractual deals in place before the various mergers and streamers for those.

Which HBO offering do you look forward to the most? Let us know in comments.
