Following the mystery of the Burn being solved, with dilithium safe again, the future United Federation of Planets will be reformed in Star Trek Discovery season 4. Spiffy new uniforms retain the color codings but return to a more formal style. Alien races not seen in a while will return. And in keeping with Discovery’s propensity for redesigning every major species, it seems the Ferengi have a new look too. Plus they followed in the footsteps of Nog, and joined the Federation at last.
Paramount Plus previously announced the season’s debut on November 18, but now we have a good look at what’s to come. By the looks of things, Captain Burnham’s propensity for big risks and decisive action may need more counter-balancing this time.
Take a look in the player below:
The official Discovery season 4 synopsis reads: “Season four of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery facing a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered. With Federation and non-Federation worlds alike feeling the impact, they must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all.”
Surprising few, Saru will return to the bridge. Delighting many, David Cronenberg appears to be sticking around for a while.
