AMC is only a few weeks away from rolling out the final season of The Walking Dead. However, the network has just announced two new cast members ahead of the show’s return. According to Deadline, Ian Anthony Dale and Laurie Fortier have booked recurring roles throughout the series’ remaining episodes.
Dale will appear in the new season as Tomi, a “long-time member of a group recently discovered by our heroes.” Presumably, this means he’s a resident of the Commonwealth. Tomi’s presence also “continually impacts them in ways none of [the survivors] could imagine, or avoid.”
Meanwhile, Fortier is playing a character named Agatha. But for some reason, AMC neglected to share any more details than this.
Fans might recognize Dale from his stints on Hawaii Five-0 and All Rise, along with his earlier role on NBC’s The Event. He also played Scorpion in both seasons of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Fortier previously starred in Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. on USA.

Tomi and Agatha aren’t the only new additions to The Walking Dead’s eleventh season. Just last month, the producers announced that Laila Robins and Josh Hamilton were joining the series as Pamela Milton and Lance Hornsby, respectively. Both characters are key fixtures from the original comic’s final issues. Pamela serves as the Commonwealth’s governor, while Lance is the community’s bookkeeper.
Also making their debut on the show this year are Michael James Shaw as Mercer and Margot Bingham as Stephanie.
The Walking Dead will launch its final season on AMC on August 22. Viewers can also watch the premiere episode a week earlier by subscribing to AMC+.
