Laurence O’Fuarain Will Lead the Cast of The Witcher: Blood Origin

There’s a new addition to the cast of The Witcher: Blood Origin. According to Deadline, Irish actor Laurence O’Fuarain has sign on to play the leading role of Fjall in the upcoming Witcher spinoff. Fjall’s character description says that he is part of “a clan of warriors sworn to protect a King, Fjall carries a deep scar within, the death of a loved one who fell in battle trying to save him. A scar that won’t let him settle, or make peace with himself or the world around him. In his quest for redemption, Fjall will find himself fighting beside the most unlikely of allies as he carves a path of vengeance across a continent in turmoil.”

O’Fuarain previously had a role in the Game of Thrones season 5 finale where he portrayed Simpson. He also played Hakon in History’s Vikings series.

The Blood Origin cast also includes British model and actress Jodie Turner-Smith as Éile. This spinoff is an original limited series that will consist of six episodes.  Andrzej Sapkowski is a creative consultant on the show with Declan de Barra as showrunner.
