Fans Call For Marvel To ‘Save Daredevil’ As the Rights Revert From Netflix

In 2018, Netflix cancelled Daredevil after a three season run. At the time, it was widely believed that season lengths, production costs, and the then-upcoming Disney+ launch played a role in that decision. Under the terms of the Netflix deal, the rights to Daredevil and its associated characters were in limbo for a period of two years following the cancellation order. However, that deadline has now passed. Consequently, the hashtag #SaveDaredevil is once again trending on social media. Fans are asking Marvel and Disney to revive the series with the original cast. And at least one cast member, Vincent D’Onofrio, has lent his support.

D’Onofrio portrayed Wilson Fisk/Kingpin on the series, which featured Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Deborah Ann Woll also co-starred on the series as Karen Page, alongside Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. Cox, Woll, and Henson have all previously expressed a desire to continue Daredevil’s story. Regardless, Marvel Studios has largely remained quiet about its plans.

A few months ago, Cox shot down the rumor that he would appear as Peter Parker’s lawyer in the next Spider-Man movie. That may not be happening, but it’s no longer impossible
