This fall, Amazon Prime promises to reveal all the hidden truths in the upcoming Utopia series. The streaming service has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming adaptation of the 2013-14 British series by Dennis Kelly, after the one they dropped during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The story focuses on a group of fans of a comic book called Utopia, which predicted several threats to humanity. But the comic book itself may be the only way to prevent the end of the world. Soon enough, that group of people will start living the same adventures of the comic book’s protagonists. And a pandemic features heavily.

The official synopsis of Amazon Prime’s Utopia reads:
“Utopia centers on a group of comic fans who meet online and bond over their obsession of a seemingly fictional comic called ‘Utopia.’ Together, Ian (Dan Byrd), Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges), and Grant (Javon “Wanna” Walton) unearth hidden meanings cloaked within the pages of ‘Utopia,’ predicting threats to humanity. They realize these are not just the makings of a conspiracy, but they are very real dangers coming alive right now in their world. The group embarks on a high-stakes adventure, bringing them face-to-face with the comic’s famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save the world while harboring secrets of her own.”
The cast also features John Cusack as Dr. Kevin Christie, Rainn Wilson as Dr. Michael Stearns, Farrah Mackenzie as Alice, as well as Christopher Denham as Arby, and Cory Michael Smith as Thomas Christie.
Utopia will premiere on Amazon Prime on Friday, September 25.
