Watch Game of Thrones Cast Speaking About Series Final at SDCC
The Game of Thrones panel was one of the most awaited events of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and it didn’t disappoint. When thecast got on the stage, they obviously focused on the last season of HBO’s epic fantasy series with star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau revealing that he liked his character’s end, saying: “It was perfect for Jaime to die in the arms of Cersei.”
He joked about remaking Game of Thrones‘ final season, adding: “Whether you loved or hated the ending… don’t call people names!”
Actor John Bradley spoke about his final scene as Sam in the series, saying “One of the nice things about that final scene was I felt, personally, that you wanted to stay with them.”
Conleth Hill took the scene and confessed all his love for David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
“For the record, I loved all my 10 years on Game of Thrones. If you take one thing from show, it’s the pointlessness of war,” Hill said. Addressing his character’s death scene, Hill added: “I swear the dragon thought twice about it.”
Liam Cunningham joked about his character’s fate. He confessed that he felt “blessed” being involved in the series.
“We and you, we’re all on this journey together. All of us here feel blessed to be a part of it,” said Cunningham, who played Ser Davos. “I’m not Ser Davos any more, I’m Lord Davos!” Cunningham joked, adding that he wouldn’t mind if they do a spin-off called “Better Call Davos.”
