Justice League Heroes Hits Stores Oct. 17

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released the following announcement today regarding the release of the Justice League Heroes videogame:

The Justice League Heroes(TM) videogame will be available nationwide from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Xbox® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on October 17. A podcast featuring the prequel story to the game in comic book format is available now on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com) and is viewable on iPods that are photo or video enabled.

Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, distributed by Eidos Interactive and developed by Snowblind Studios, Justice League Heroes is an action adventure game with role-playing customization, starring renowned DC Comics characters Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and other unlockable Justice League super heroes Green Arrow, Aquaman, Huntress and Hawkgirl. Also available on October 17 will be Justice League Heroes with a unique story line for the Nintendo DS(TM) system and Justice League Heroes: The Flash(TM) for the Game Boy® Advance system. The PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system version based on the console game will be available in November.

The Justice League Heroes game features an original story from award-winning comic book and animation writer Dwayne McDuffie (Static Shock, Justice League, Teen Titans, Damage Control, Deathlok). The slate of voice talent for Justice League Heroes includes: Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Blade II, Justice League TV series) as Batman; Michael Jai White (Spawn, Spawn: The Animation) as Green Lantern; Crispin Freeman (Viewtiful Joe, Kingdom Hearts II) as Superman; Ralph Garman (Family Guy, KROQ-FM Los Angeles’ Kevin & Bean morning show, The Joe Schmo Show) as Green Arrow and many more.

Select talent from the videogame also voice the characters in the enhanced podcast comic book prequel to the Justice League Heroes game, including Perlman, Freeman, and Jai White. Viewers will enjoy an audio podcast, which is free to download and view, full of voice acting, music, and sound effects coupled with comic book visuals. The podcast will be serialized into separate episodes that will be available on the iTunes Store over the course of the month.
