Disney+ will be updating its line-up for the galaxy far, far away this September. New Star Wars content will be heading towards the streaming service, including some hotly anticipated releases from past years.
So far, most mainstream Star Wars content has been available to stream on Disney+, including the Original Trilogy, the Prequel Trilogy, and the various animated shows the franchise has spawned. Come September, Disney is looking to add more Force-sensitive content to the streamer, which includes live-action and animated offerings.
Star Wars’ September 2026 Disney+ streaming lineup brings major additions
On September 2, multiple Star Wars projects will be made available to stream on Disney+, in addition to the lineup that the streamer already has. Chief among the titles coming to the service is 2026’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which continues the adventures of Din Djarin and his adopted son, Din Grogu, as they make their way through the galaxy, picking up jobs for the Republic that put them at odds with Imperial Remnants.
Alongside the film, Disney+ is also going to see Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast arrive on the service with a two-episode premiere. The podcast is going to show fans what went into making Star Wars’ most recent summer blockbuster.
However, there is also new Mandalorian content that is going to find its way onto the streaming service. LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian is a retelling of the events of all three seasons of The Mandalorian. As is common with this vertical of the franchise, it is going to take a humorous approach to the journeys of Din Djarin and also feature familiar faces that Din crossed paths with. The show is primarily aimed at a much younger audience than what the franchise’s content is usually geared towards.
September 2 is also going to see a new episode of The Shards hit the streaming service, along with the final episode of its accompanying podcast. Disney+ will also begin streaming 9/11: United We Stand.
