Spider-Man Is a Bigger Brand Than Avengers, Its Box Office Proves It

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is on course to surpass Avengers: Endgame at the domestic box office. The Tom Holland-led sequel has continued to perform strongly in theaters and is now approaching Avengers: Endgame’s domestic total.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to beat Avengers: Endgame at domestic box office

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now within roughly $4 million of surpassing Avengers: Endgame at the domestic box office.

According to Box Office Mojo, the 2026 sequel has earned an estimated $854.9 million in North America, while Endgame finished its domestic run with $858.3 million. With only a small gap remaining, Brand New Day is expected to overtake the 2019 Marvel blockbuster and give Spider-Man the bigger domestic box office total.

The comparison is particularly significant because Avengers: Endgame remains one of the highest-grossing films ever released. Following its April 2019 debut, the film collected $2.799 billion worldwide. Its domestic earnings account for $858.3 million, while international markets contributed another $1.941 billion.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already generated approximately $2.22 billion worldwide since arriving in theaters on July 31, 2026. Box Office Mojo lists its international earnings at an estimated $1.365 billion along with its $854.9 million domestic total. The sequel is still behind Endgame worldwide, but it is now close to beating it in North America.

The sequel has already surpassed Endgame in one major domestic box office record. According to previous reports, Brand New Day became the fastest film to reach $500 million in North America, achieving the milestone in seven days. Meanwhile, Endgame reached the same figure in eight days following its 2019 release.

The film has also received strong responses from critics and audiences. Spider-Man: Brand New Day currently holds a 90 percent critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 423 reviews. Its audience rating is even higher at 98 percent.
