Warner Bros. has released a new teaser for Dune: Part 3 as tickets go on sale today. The short clip has also treated fans to a closer look at Edric, one of the most important figures in the Dune universe.
Whether Edric would appear in Dune: Part Three had been the subject of debate. Previous trailers made no mention of this character, who fans have been eager to see on screen. However, the latest teaser not only confirms his appearance but also reveals his voice.
At one point in the teaser, Princess Irulan, played by Florence Pugh, asks Edric, “Tell me what lies ahead.” He gives a chilling reply, “The end.” The teaser also features additional scenes of Zendaya‘s Chani and Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides.
Tickets for Dune: Part Three are currently on sale for IMAX and other premium large-format screenings. Check out the new teaser below:
What role will Edric likely play in Dune: Part 3?

In Frank Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah, on which Dune: Part Three is based, Edric is a third-stage Spacing Guild Navigator. Since Spacing Guild Navigators have not appeared in the films before, fans were excited to see how they would be portrayed in Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation. The teaser shows Edric living in a coffin-shaped tank filled with orange spice gas.
Edric is involved in the conspiracy to assassinate Emperor Paul Atreides and overthrow his regime to form his new Atreides Empire. Guild Navigators like Edric are heavily mutated humans whose abilities allow them to safely navigate interstellar travel in massive starships known as heighliners.
Dune: Part Three is the final installment of Villeneuve’s Dune film trilogy. In addition to Chalamet, Zendaya, and Pugh, the movie also features Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin. Robert Pattinson has joined the cast as Scytale.
Dune: Part Three arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.
