Watching VisionQuest might be more important for fans ahead of Avengers: Secret Wars than previously thought. A new rumor suggests the upcoming MCU TV show on Disney+ may play a crucial role in the anticipated crossover movie.
According to reliable insider James Mack, VisionQuest TV show might be directly connected to the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.
The show is yet to launch and only then it will get clear whether it’s got any sort of connection to Secret Wars. At the moment, fans should take the latest rumor with a grain of salt.
VisionQuest could tie Vision and the Maximoff family into the MCU’s future
Interestingly, the same rumor also claims that Vision, played by Paul Bettany, and his Maximoff family, including Tommy and Billy from WandaVision, will have a crucial role in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Which means the MCU journey moving forward may depend a lot on VisionQuest TV show and its characters. However, all unverified reports should still be taken with a strong caution.
Speaking of VisionQuest, it will also bring back other familiar faces from previous MCU projects. James Spader will return as Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Other key cast members include Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy.
The show is written by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, Terry Matalas. The writers include Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura.
VisionQuest TV series will release on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. The show will also mark the end of a trilogy that initially began with 2021’s WandaVision and continued with 2024’s Agatha All Along. “It’s been an enormous joy playing the Vision as he’s evolved over the years,” said Bettany during the D23 event while sharing his feelings on reprising the popular role.
As for Avengers: Secret Wars, it will hit theaters on December 17, 2027.
