X-Men Fans Debate if Huge Snyderverse DCEU Star Should Play MCU’s Beast

A new X-Men report has fans casting a huge Snyderverse DCEU star as MCU‘s Beast. Recently, at the D23 Expo, the cast details of the upcoming X-Men Reboot were revealed. However, there are other major characters, such as Beast, Wolverine, and Magneto, whose details have not yet been revealed.

In a recent report, it was rumored that Henry Cavill is in the final stages of signing a multi-picture deal to play a major mutant role in the X-Men Reboot. This has left fans divided over what the “major mutant role” could be, with some fans casting him as Beast and others as Magneto.

Cavill already has a cameo in the MCU as a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine. This has led many to speculate that he would reprise this role in the upcoming X-Men movie, but some fans think otherwise.

For instance, a fan wrote, “Too tall for Wolverine, though it’s been a running gag in Deadpool. Would be a good Magneto. Maybe Beast? Sabertooth?” while another commented, “If I had to bet, either Magneto or Beast.” Echoing both users, another fan added, “He could be super fine Magneto or maybe Beast? Too tall for Wolverine.”

Regardless, fans have shown a positive response towards the British actor joining the MCU as a mutant. However, they are still skeptical about his casting as Wolverine.

The new X-Men cast gives Marvel plenty of room for surprise additions

The D23 Expo’s casting reveal confirmed and debunked many rumors online about the X-Men Reboot roles. But there is still plenty of room for Marvel to cast surprise additions to the ensemble.

In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Sadie Sink was revealed as Jean Grey. This was followed by Kit Connor being revealed as Cyclops and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. Adam Driver, who was rumored to play either Mr. Sinister or Magneto, was confirmed to take on the former role.

The new additions also include Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, Angel, Gambit, and Quicksilver are some of the core characters that are yet to be cast.

X-Men Reboot will release on May 5, 2028.
