Dafne Keen is rumored to come back as the popular X-Men character, X-23, but there’s a twist. The actress was last seen in the role during 2024’s MCU blockbuster Deadpool & Wolverine alongside Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.
Reliable scooper My Time To Shine Hello recently claimed that Dafne Keen is in talks to return as X-23. But the insider soon provided a clarification that her return might not be related to the upcoming X-Men reboot movie by Jake Schreier.
While the insider has a credible track record with the leaks, fans should still take everything with a grain of salt unless Marvel confirms anything on X-23’s return.
Could Dafne Keen’s X-23 return lead to Avengers: Doomsday?
The latest rumor does bring up an important question: what other Marvel project could Dafne Keen’s X-23 show up in if not for the X-Men reboot movie?
While it’s not confirmed, another rumor from a trusted scooper, Alex Perez, suggests that X-23 may come back for Avengers: Doomsday. In a recent Q&A session, Perez was asked about the future of Dafne Keen as X-23. He replied, saying, “She’ll be back for the Avengers films, and that’s all I know.”
Going by the claim, it seems there’s a strong chance of X-23’s appearance in Doomsday. Still, all the unverified reports should be taken with strong caution.
As for Avengers: Doomsday, its massive ensemble cast is led by Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom. The anticipated MCU superhero movie will also bring back Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
Other key cast members on the project include Florence Pugh, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, and James Marsden.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday releases in theaters on December 18, 2026.
