Several early viewers responded positively to the film’s tone and story. Courtney Howard described the movie as “a ton of fun” and called it “a perfect Summer movie.” She added, “Action-packed with a lot of humor & heart. Not episodic. A fully cinematic journey. Grogu steals the show. See it on the biggest screen possible.”
Star Wars Holocron also reacted positively, writing that the movie “makes the 7 year wait for a STAR WARS movie worthwhile.” The account described the film as “cinematic, epic, heartwarming,” before concluding, “This is quintessential STAR WARS.” Similarly, John Rocha said he “had a good time” watching it.
Several viewers also highlighted the relationship between Din Djarin and Grogu as one of the film’s biggest strengths.
