Netflix’s Devil May Cry Season 2 gets official trailer
The new Devil May Cry Season 2 trailer wastes no time establishing the stakes. It opens with Dante unleashing his signature flair, firing off his twin pistols, Ebony and Ivory, in demonic action. However, the momentum screeches to a halt when Vergil appears, now seemingly aligned with the demon king Mundus.
The sneak peek promises the exact cocktail fans expect from the franchise: a heavy metal soundtrack, energetic fight choreography, and a deep well of family angst. This season aims to expand the mythology of the hack-and-slash series significantly.
According to the season’s official synopsis: “A war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil…Dante must confront his own devils and the feeling of family he lost as a child. With the reemergence of Vergil, will Dante lay to rest old demons or fall victim to them? (via Games Radar).”
The voice cast features returning talent led by Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, with Robbie Daymond stepping into the role of Vergil and Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady. Devil May Cry Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, each running approximately 30 minutes.
The show’s return comes after a successful debut for the animated series. The first season became Netflix’s most-watched video game adaptation in its first week. The sequel announcement followed just one week later,.
Now, Devil May Cry Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on May 12, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
