New rumors about Tatiana Maslany‘s potential She-Hulk future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been revealed, more than three years after the Disney+ series wrapped up its 9-episode run. Emmy-winning actress portrayed the role of lawyer Jennifer Walters, who suddenly acquired her cousin Bruce’s Hulk powers after a car accident exposed her to his gamma-infused blood.
Will She-Hulk appear in Avengers: Doomsday?
The first She-Hulk rumor is from The Beyond Reporter, who claimed that Maslany reportedly “no longer works for Marvel.” This new update comes after Maslany previously called out Disney for ABC’s decision to suddenly suspend Jimmy Kimmel Live! last September due to the host’s controversial comments about Charlie Kirk’s death. As a result, some fans wondered if Maslany’s post against Disney would lead to the recasting of She-Hulk in the MCU.
Meanwhile, another update from The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez suggested that Maslany’s She-Hulk won’t be appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. However, he clarified that there is still a chance that the character might appear in Avengers: Secret Wars or even Doomsday since the studio has already begun its reshoots. So far, since the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law finale, Marvel Studios hasn’t announced any official plans for the hero’s return in future projects.
Avengers: Doomsday is being directed by Avengers: Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo from a screenplay written by Stephen McFeely. The latest installment will feature the return of Marvel vets Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, with the Oppenheimer actor set to play a completely different role this time in the form of Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. The ensemble cast will also include Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Lewis Pullman, Simu Liu, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Danny Ramirez.
The fifth installment will also feature the return of X-Men stars Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Doomsday debuts in theaters on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
