The music composer of The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, and many other projects, Hans Zimmer, has joined Euphoria Season 3. Labrinth, the composer of the previous two seasons, will also return to score the upcoming episodes.
Hans Zimmer joins Labrinth as composer for Euphoria Season 3
Hans Zimmer and Labrinth will compose music for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria. In his statement, Zimmer said that it was an “honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson.” He added, “Together, they have crafted such a bold and moving series that has meant so much to audiences. Labrinth’s music has shaped the show’s identity and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.”
Meanwhile, Labrinth called Zimmer one of his heroes in his own statement. “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season. Love x.” he said.
Notably, Labrinth, whose birth name is Timothy Lee McKenzie, won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the reworked version of his song All for Us. Zendaya, who plays Ruby “Rue” Bennett in Euphoria, performed the song for the series.
Besides the projects mentioned above, Zimmer has scored music for movies such as Gladiator (2000), the Pirates of the Caribbean movies (2006–2011), Interstellar (2014), Dunkirk (2017), No Time to Die (2021), and the Dune movies (2021–). He has received Oscars for The Lion King (1994) and Dune (2021).
In a separate statement, Levinson reciprocated Zimmer’s sentiments and noted that he wrote Season 3 “to the score of Interstellar and True Romance.” He continued, “So he’s been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning. I’m really proud of the work Labrinth and I have done in previous seasons and am excited for Hans to push us to new heights.”
Euphoria Season 3 doesn’t officially have a release date, but it can potentially come out in 2026.
