No specific reason for this increase has been given, but the site previously mentioned that the film’s first trailer had over 200 million views and believed that The Fantastic Four: First Steps would “take over IMAX and many premium screens during Superman’s third weekend.”
In fact, since Superman 2025’s opening weekend sales has been lowered to $135-$175 million, Fantastic Four 2025 has a chance to overtake its rival, which would be quite an upset.
