Gen V Season 2 trailer reveals release date, teases plot
Gen V Season 2 poster and trailer revealed that the popular satirical series will return on September 17, 2025. The trailer also teased what might be in store for fans when Gen V returns. The second season will reportedly have eight episodes.
The first three among them will start streaming on September 17 as part of the season premiere. The remaining five will be made available weekly until October 22, 2025, the release date of the Season 2 finale.
The Season 2 trailer hints that Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) and some of the other main characters of the show might be trapped in Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center. This is the same facility where Marie would have ended up earlier if she hadn’t attended God U. When she and the rest return to Godolkin, they discover how significantly it has changed.
The logline for the sophomore season states, “Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus.”
It further reads, “The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.”
The new cast member of Gen V Season 2 includes Hamish Linklater, who plays Dean Cipher, the new head of Godolkin. Notably, Chance Perdomo, the actor behind Andre Anderson, died in a motorcycle crash in March 2024 while traveling to film Season 2. The producers revealed in a May 2024 statement on social media that they would not recast the character and would honor Perdomo and his legacy in Season 2.
