James Gunn recently teased a big cameo appearance for Peacemaker Season 2, and fans think that it could be Superman. Peacemaker Season 2 will make its debut on HBO Max on August 21, 2025. James Gunn recently sat down for a chat with Entertainment Weekly and revealed that a big cameo will happen in Peacemaker Season 2.
Gunn conveyed that many characters from Superman are appearing in the series and stated, “We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and from Superman.”
This is when he asserted that a major character will also make a cameo appearance and added, “There might even be one really, really, really big cameo near the end of the show.”
However, Gunn didn’t give a hint regarding who it might be. Despite this, fans have been speculating that this major character appearing as a cameo at the end of Peacemaker Season 2 is David Corenswet’s Superman. Here are some reactions by fans on X (formerly Twitter).
