American Gods Star Yetide Badaki Lobbies To Play MCU’s Storm

As Kevin Feige briefly noted at San Diego Comic-Con, they didn’t have time to talk about Mutants, but since the Disney-Fox merger is complete, the X-Men are coming. One of the many actors interested in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe is American Gods star Yetide Badaki, who is now campaigning to play Storm. Badaki took to Twitter to share her interest for the role, even tagging Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios, Marvel, and Disney.

“I don’t think this comes as a surprise to anyone but as a dark skinned woman of African Origin, I’d love to play Storm” the actress tweeted.

It’s not that common for an actor to land a role they’ve directly campaigned for, but it has happened including Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, for example. Badaki is set to reprise her character in the third season of the series.
