AMC has released the first three minutes of the Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 premiere opening act, immediately introducing us to one of this season’s new characters, John, played by Garret Dillahunt (The Gifted, The Mindy Project). Episode 4.01, titled “What’s Your Story?,” is described as follows: “A long traveler’s wearying journey is interrupted by new acquaintances, some who become friend, others who become foe.” Check out the Fear the Walking Dead Season 4 premiere’s opening scene in the player below, and let us know what your first impressions are of John!
In season four of Fear the Walking Dead, we will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes, and threats. They fight for each other, against each other, and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven all crashing together towards a new reality.
Fear the Walking Dead is the #2 drama on cable and #4 cable series overall. The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero, and produced by AMC Studios.
Fans of The Walking Dead universe will have the opportunity to watch the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead and the season 4 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead in theaters thanks to AMC and Fathom Events’ Survival Sunday: The Walking Dead & Fear the Walking Dead one-night fan event on April 15.
