Kevin Feige Talks Inhumans Release Date, Black Panther Production

Since Marvel Studios‘ full Phase Three announcement, there has been some shuffling. Many of the films have already changed release dates more than once, and you can expect that to happen again with what has been set as the final film of phase three, Inhumans, currently set for a July 12, 2019 release.

Speaking with Collider, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed the film will definitely move release dates, but when they don’t know yet.

“Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.”

One of the films that already has a release date set though is the long-awaited Black Panther film. Feige also spoke about progress on that one, revealing director Ryan Coogler is also co-writing the movie.

“We have a number of writers on it including Ryan Coogler, who is also directing, he’s working on the draft right now. Between now and the end of the summer there will be more casting announcements. We start filming at the very beginning of next year.”

Marvel’s Phase Three currently includes Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, Doctor Strange on November 4, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017, their Untitled Spider-Man Film on July 7, 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017, Black Panther on February 16, 2018, Avengers: Infinity War Part I on May 4, 2018, Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, Avengers: Infinity War Part II on May 3, 2019, and Inhumans scheduled for July 12, 2019, with three untitled Marvel Studios films set to premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.
