Heat Vision
is reporting that supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio is set to take a major role in Paramount Pictures’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, in which she will play the love interest of Will Arnett’s Vernon Fenwick. A scene was shot on Wednesday in which the two were seen kissing at a New York Knicks vs L.A. Clippers basketball game, in which players DeAndre Jordan, Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick, Austin Rivers and Spencer Hawes will be prominently featured.
Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form return to produce the upcoming sequel which features a script by returning screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec. Megan Fox is expected to reprise her role of April O’Neil along with William Fichtner as Eric Sacks. The original film also starred Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Danny Woodburn, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub. It grossed more than $485 million at the worldwide box office.
Though unconfirmed, previous reports on the sequel have alluded to the inclusion of the likes of Bebop and Rocksteady or even the interdimensional Krang as potential villains.
Directed by Earth to Echo‘s David Green, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set for release on June 3, 2016.
Victoria’s Secret staple Ambrosio was previously featured in the movie Casino Royale and shows like “Entourage” and “Gossip Girl,” and will also have a featured role in the Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg comedy Daddy’s Home.
