Star Wars: Why Hayden Christensen Doesn’t Want an Anakin Skywalker Solo Project

Hayden Christensen does not want an Anakin Skywalker solo project. In an interview with the Jonas Brothers, the actor shared why he does not want a solo project for his character, as well as his thoughts on his future in the Star Wars franchise.

During the interview, Kevin Jonas asked Christensen if fans could expect a solo series or feature about only Skywalker. He responded, “I feel like that was kind of the prequels, you know, for sure. But I mean, like in this part of the next phase of it all, I would love to get to do more, and as I said, I have a lot of fun with the Clone Wars stuff, and I feel like there’s lots of good story lines there that we could continue to bring to live action.”

“I know that like Ewan McGregor would love to do more with it,” Christensen continued, “I’ve heard Natalie [Portman] would love to come back and uh, Sam Jackson. So, you could get you could, you know, get the band back. Please get the band back together. That would be good fun.”

What do we know about Ahsoka 2 so far?

Hayden Christensen will next be seen in Ahsoka Season 2. However, he will appear as a glowing Force spirit guiding a present-day Ahsoka. He will also appear in flashbacks during the Clone Wars era in Season 2.

In the upcoming season, Ahsoka and her allies must face what they were preventing in Season 1, which is the rise of Thrawn. The villain will unite the remnants of the Galactic Empire against the fledgling New Republic.

The official Season 2 logline reads, “As Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren travel across a mysterious and perilous world to find their way home, their friends Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper must face the powerful Grand Admiral Thrawn and his sinister allies, who seek to plunge the New Republic into war.”

Ahsoka Season 2 will release on January 20, 2027, on Disney+.
