A new report suggests that The Accountant 3 is officially in development at Amazon. The scoop comes from industry insider MyTimeToShineHello, who posted on X, “The Accountant 3 is officially in development at Amazon.” Amazon Studios has not verified the claim, so audiences should take it with a grain of salt. Still, the scooper maintains a strong record of accurate film-related leaks.
The post quickly drew attention online as fans speculated about Ben Affleck’s franchise continuing. Given the success of The Accountant (2016) and its 2025 sequel, a third installment appeared inevitable. The first film earned over $155 million worldwide, surpassing box office projections, while The Accountant 2 expanded Christian Wolff’s story and reunited him with his estranged brother Braxton, played by Jon Bernthal.
Director Gavin O’Connor previously confirmed plans for a trilogy, explaining in interviews that he designed the second movie to unite the brothers and set up a third chapter.
