Rumor: Avengers: Doomsday Cast Additions Include Several Major MCU Stars

A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor suggests that we haven’t seen the final cast for the highly anticipated movie just yet.

Who are the rumored Avengers: Doomsday cast additions?

In a recent Q&A session on The Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez was asked about more casting updates being made for Doomsday. Perez noted it was possible, but wouldn’t expect many “big surprises” for the film outside of a handful. He did note that he’s heard of several previously unannounced characters appearing in the movie, though.

These include characters like Peter Parker (Tom Holland), Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Clea (Charlize Theron), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), Thor’s adopted daughter Love, Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Okoye (Danai Gurira), “Team Loki,” Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and more.

When Doomsday’s cast was officially announced, many fans wondered if more casting information was coming, as many actors they assumed would be in the movie were not announced. While it remains unknown if Marvel Studios will announce more, it does seem like some fan-favorite heroes will be accounted for.

Outside of the rumors, the confirmed cast for Avengers: Doomsday is going to be massive. So far, several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man.

More names for the upcoming movie include Wyatt Russell’s U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer’s Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman’s Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour’s Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke‘s M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen‘s Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki.

Several X-Men characters are also coming back for the upcoming movie, including Patrick Stewart‘s Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen‘s Magneto, Alan Cumming‘s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn‘s Mystique, James Marsden‘s Cyclops, and Channing Tatum‘s Gambit.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
