After the news that a second The Fantastic Four film was in development, star Pedro Pascal has added fuel to the fire thanks to a new social media action.
What do we know about The Fantastic Four 2?
While Pascal didn’t comment directly on the report that a second movie was in the works, he did react via social media. The actor liked a post on Instagram from a fan channel that said that a sequel was in the works. The post itself said that the film was eyeing a 2028 release date, which is what Variety theorized in their post on Marvel’s new movie listing.
The liked post quickly sent fans into believing that Pascal was confirming the post. Of course, it’s unlikely the star is spilling the beans this way, but with a second film likely in the works, a 2028 release date would make sense after the two planned Avengers films Marvel Studios has in the works.
“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the official synopsis for the movie reads.
