Superman Movie’s 3D Version Will ‘Wow’ You

James Gunn is hyping up the 3D version of his Superman movie.

Superman will be released in United States theaters in less than a month. Written and directed by Gunn, the DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures superhero epic stars David Corenswet as the titular Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.

What did James Gunn say about Superman’s 3D version?

On Threads, Gunn praised the 3D version of Superman and hyped it up as an “incredible” way to see the DCU film.

“Just saw the final version of Superman in 3D and oh wow… just incredible to see,” Gunn wrote. “If you have a taste for 3D, this is a great way to see the film.”

The official synopsis for Superman reads, “Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

In addition to Corenswet, Brosnahan, and Hoult, the cast of Superman includes Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica/The Engineer, and Alan Tudyk as the voice of Superman Robot #4.

Superman will be released in United States theaters on July 11, 2025.
