Thunderbolts: Ayo Edebiri Leaves MCU Movie, Geraldine Viswanathan to Step In

Marvel StudiosThunderbolts is undergoing another shakeup, as Deadline is reporting that Ayo Edebiri is departing the ensemble film, with Geraldine Viswanathan set to replace the actress.

Edebiri was originally reported to be playing an assistant to Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, but will have to leave the movie due to scheduling conflict. In her place, Viswanathan will step into the role.

The Australian actress is perhaps best known for her role in the 2018 film Blockers, and starred in the TBS comedy Miracle Workers. Viswanathan joining the film marks the second recasting that Thunderbolts has had to undergo prior to the film’s production. Last week, Lewis Pullman joined the film to replace Steven Yeun as the Marvel hero Sentry.
