Marvel Wraps Production on Thor: Love and Thunder
The God of Thunder’s next movie is officially in the books. Chris Hemsworth has confirmed that after a four month shoot, Thor: Love and Thunder has wrapped principal photography.
Hemsworth made the announcement with a new post on Instagram, which also makes the case for New Asgard having the best gym in the Marvel multiverse. Clearly, Thor’s been hitting the weights since the last time fans saw him in Avengers: Endgame. Also present in the photo is writer/director Taika Waititi, dressed in full mo-cap attire for his return as Korg. You can check out the new image below.

Love and Thunder began filming in Australia back in January, with several cast members from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series also landing on the continent to film several scenes of their own. Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff are all expected to reprise their roles as Peter Quill, Drax, Nebula, and Mantis, respectively.
The sequel will also feature the return of Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. She will wield Mjolnir herself as The Mighty Thor in a storyline ripped straight from the pages of Jason Aaron’s Thor run. Additionally, The Dark Knight‘s Christian Bale is making his MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher.
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
