Disney Changes the Release Dates For Two Untitled Marvel Movies

Two upcoming Marvel Studios movies are on the move. Disney has announced that the untitled Marvel film slated for October 7, 2022 will now be released on October 6, 2023. Additionally, the untitled Marvel movie slated for November 3, 2023 will be delayed a week to November 10, 2023.

Disney hasn’t released any additional details about which films will be placed on those dates. However, if we had to guess, the upcoming Blade reboot seems like a strong possibility for the October 2023 date.  Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali will star as Blade, and Stacy Osei-Kuffour is writing the script. A recent report indicated that Blade‘s production was pushed to 2022. If that’s the case, a 2022 shoot would allow it to arrive in time for October 2023.

It’s a little harder to nail down the other Marvel movie. So far, the only confirmed MCU movies without release dates are Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four.

Jon Watts will direct Fantastic Four after he wraps Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the reboot doesn’t have any cast members yet, or even a screenwriter. On the other hand, Deadpool 3 has a script by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin. Ryan Reynolds will also reprise his role as Deadpool, but a new director hasn’t been set yet. There’s also the possibility that the November 2023 slot will go to a previously unannounced movie. Perhaps even the rumored Captain America 4 could take that date.
