James Gunn Unleashes The Suicide Squad Trailer

After months of teasing, director James Gunn and Warner Bros. Pictures have released the first trailer for The Suicide Squad. However, the new team has some unfinished business before they can head down to Corto Maltese. It seems that Harley Quinn got in a bit of trouble…and then also got herself out of it. From there, it’s back to Belle Reve.

Additionally, the trailer offers a glimpse at some of the misfits who make up the latest iteration of Task Force X. But don’t get too attached to any of them. Regardless of how funny they are, they are all expendable…except Harley. We can reasonably expect her to survive. There’s also a giant monster that looks a lot like Starro the Conqueror. But is this giant alien starfish really the film’s big bad? Also, Sylvester Stallone is the voice of King Shark!

The Suicide Squad will hit theaters and also HBO Max on August 6.
