Mondo’s New Vinyl Box Set Collects the Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame Scores
Over a year ago, Mondo kicked off a new initiative to release every Marvel Studios soundtrack on vinyl. Now, the music from the MCU’s two biggest entries is arriving in an appropriately giant-sized collection. Mondo has announced plans for a box set compiling Alan Silvestri’s scores for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Mondo soundtracks are known for their stunning visuals. But these Avengers pressings, which feature art by Matt Taylor, are exceptionally gorgeous. Previously, Taylor collaborated with Mondo on limited-edition posters for Infinity War and Endgame. His designs for those posters serve as the covers for the soundtracks, but his interior artwork is arguably more impressive. The inside of Infinity War’s sleeve features Taylor’s rendering of a key scene from the film’s climax, with Steve Rogers facing off against Thanos. Meanwhile, Endgame’s score includes a painting of the final battle’s most pivotal moment, where the Mad Titan stands above Tony Stark thinking he’s bested Earth’s Mightiest Heroes once again, only to realize he’s failed.
Mondo is pressing Silvestri’s music from the Infinity Saga’s epic two-part conclusion on six 180-gram LPs. The color of each disc matches one of the six Infinity Stones. However, this colorway is only available to those who purchase the $90 box set. This option houses the two soundtracks in an exclusive Iron Man-themed slipcase. Each score is also available individually on 180-gram black vinyl for $45 apiece.
Additionally, Mondo is releasing a few new accessories to go along with this latest soundtrack release. Fans can pick up a new double-faced turntable slipmat that features Captain America’s shield on one side and Thanos’ grinning purple visage on the other.
The Avengers soundtracks, slipmat, and enamel pin will be available to order on Mondo’s website on Wednesday at noon CT. You can view the new merch in the gallery below, then tell us what you think in the comment section!
