Avengers: Endgame Actors Recount Infinity War as a Children’s Book

What occurred in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War isn’t easy for everyone to stomach. Fortunately, the stars of the Marvel Studios blockbuster have an interesting solution that breaks things down more humorously.

Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and others stars appear in a new video where they read from a fictional children’s book called ‘Twas the Mad Titan Thanos. It recaps the events from Infinity War in a much more comfortable manner for young fans.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, the actors read the rhyming lines from the story while illustrations appear over their shoulder. It’s a great read, with one sentence that stands out in particular. “I’ll finish this, Thor excitedly said,” as related by Johannson. Evans finishes the thought with this: “Unfortunately, Thor should’ve gone for the head.”

This video serves as a promotion for Jimmy Kimmel Live!. All week long, the late night show will have the stars of Avengers: Endgame. The full ‘Twas the Mad Titan Thanos reading will premiere on tonight’s episode.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! has served as a portal for Marvel premiere events in the past. Various episodes featured guest stars from Infinity War last year. And back in 2014, it was the first place to see the debut of the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. Considering that both Marvel Studios and ABC are Disney properties, it just makes sense.

This is the latest promotion for Avengers: Endgame, which should break some serious box office records for Marvel Studios upon its release. We’ll continue to see serious build-up for it in the meantime, including one that debuted just this morning.

Endgame debuts in theaters on April 26. Would you give ‘Twas the Mad Titan Thanos a read? Let us know in the comments below!
