In those trailer scenes, Spider-Man is shown fighting The Hand. This group of ninjas is traditionally portrayed as Daredevil villains in the comics. The Punisher is also confirmed to appear in Brand New Day. As another character closely linked to Daredevil, this makes the connections hard to ignore.
Fan speculation suggests The Hand could target the prison where Murdock is being held. If the group intends to kill the vigilante, Spider-Man could step in. From there, Peter Parker could offer to help Murdock escape. However, Murdock would likely decline, choosing to remain behind bars out of respect for the legal system.
