Disney+ has renewed Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord for Season 2.
The last two episodes of Season 1 will drop on May 4, 2026. Fans wanted to know if there are more episodes lined up. This is due to streaming platforms splitting their popular shows’ seasons into parts. However, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord does not follow this pattern. All 10 episodes were planned to be released on their scheduled release date and time.
Besides extra episodes, viewers wanted to know about the next seasons of the series. The good news is Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord will be rolling out its second installment. Season 2 was announced prior to the premiere of the first season. Star Wars’ website confirmed the upcoming season by Lucasfilm President & Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni.
Additionally, Sam Witwer, who plays the role of Maul, discussed the release date window with The Direct. “Obviously, everyone’s loving Season 1, and we know there’s a Season 2 on the way. How vaguely can you tease? How long are we going to have to wait to see this story continue?” asked the reporter. Witwer answered, “It’s the usual development cycle… I know when it’s coming out, but it’s not a situation where the audiences will have to wait too, too long.” He further added, “But I think I am forbidden from saying what I know, but we are working on it. We’ve been working on it for a while, and it’s interesting.”
Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Season 2 is expected to premiere in the fall or late 2027.
