However, throughout the episode, Mark experiences severe PTSD, visualizing the deaths of his loved ones at the hands of Thragg.

At the end of the episode, Thragg does visit Mark, leading to another moment of panic for the superhero. However, Thragg says he is there to negotiate. He offers a deal in which he and the surviving Viltrumites will integrate with humans and live ordinary lives while reproducing to expand their race.

If Mark agrees, the Viltrumites will not interfere in human affairs and will not harm the planet or its residents. However, if Mark disagrees, the remaining Viltrumites will “tear” the world in half.

Mark appears shaken by the offer and initially refuses, but the visions of death and destruction continue to affect him. In the end, Mark agrees to Thragg’s proposal. This appears to be influenced by his PTSD and his desire to prevent further harm to his planet.

With Thragg portrayed as nearly unbeatable, Mark may have viewed this as the only path to immediate peace. While the Viltrumites continuing to exist and grow in number could pose a long-term threat, rejecting the offer could have led to immediate destruction.
