Has The Darwin Incident been canceled or renewed for Season 2?

The Darwin Incident Season 2 has not been announced yet. However, the show has not been canceled either.

The thirteenth episode and season finale of the anime series, titled “Will,” is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. As of now, it hasn’t been confirmed whether the series will return with another season.

The Darwin Incident is a science fiction series based on the manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Shun Umezawa. Since the original manga is still ongoing, the anime series may continue to adapt it. For now, the wait continues for an official announcement from the showrunners.

The series follows Charlie, a very rare human–chimpanzee hybrid known as a “humanzee,” who has developed skills that surpass both species. He lives with his adoptive parents and continues to navigate life as a teenager in school. However, his exceptional abilities draw the attention of an extremist organisation, the ALA (Animal Liberation Alliance).

Produced by Bellnox Films, The Darwin Incident originally aired on TV Tokyo in Japan. But international fans can watch the show on Amazon Prime Video. The show is directed by Naokatsu Tsuda and Katsuichi Nakayama, with Shinichi Inotsume helming the series composition and Shinpei Tomooka serving as the character designer.

The series features the opening theme song “Make Me Wonder”, performed by Official Hige Dandism. Meanwhile, Ako performs the ending theme, “Turn It Up.”

The Darwin Incident boasts a notable voice cast that includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Charlie, Mitsuho Kambe as Lucy, Akio Otsuka as Rivera Feyerabend, and many more.
