Gachiakuta Season 2’s release date is estimated to be sometime between late 2026 and 2027. This is based on the time that the studio may take to animate the next season.
Studio Bones, which handled the first season’s 24 episodes, will continue production for the second installment as well. Typically, it takes the studio anywhere between 1-1.5 years to animate a 24-episode season. Based on that calculation, it is reasonable to assume that the second installment could arrive in late 2026 or 2027 at the earliest. However, given the demanding nature of the story, the release schedule may see a change.
Gachiakuta Season 2 news and updates
The studio has officially announced and greenlit Gachiakuta anime Season 2 following the first season’s finale in late December 2025. In addition to that, an action-RPG video game inspired by the series is also in the works. Furthermore, a stage play has also been announced, which will begin on May 22, 2026.
Gachiakuta anime is based on the manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Kei Urana.
The official synopsis of the anime reads, “Accused of murder and thrown into the Pit, a young orphan joins a group of monster fighters with special powers to uncover the truth and seek vengeance.”
Gachiakuta’s Japanese voice cast includes Aoi Ichikawa, Katsuyuki Konishi, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Yumiri Hanamori, Satoshi Hino, and Shunsuke Takeuchi, among others.
